About the role
The Public Health Nurse Assistant provides essential operational support to the Public Health Division, playing a critical role in the planning, implementation, and coordination of public health programs and initiatives. This position collaborates closely with public health professionals, community partners, and stakeholders to advance the health and well-being of the population.
Responsibilities
- Supports the planning, implementation, and coordination of public health programs and initiatives.
- Collaborates with public health professionals, community partners, and stakeholders to advance the health and well-being of the population.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree in a health-related field.
- Two years of experience working in healthcare is preferred.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
