Public Health Educator - Volunteer Position - Onsite in Peru • South America - 2 years, plus 3 months training

About The Project Activities How you and the community will make an impact together: Conduct a series of educational sessions for pregnant women and mothers of children under 5. Support a series of house visits to pregnant women and mothers of children under 5. Train community health promoters to deliver health promotion activities to reduce malnutrition, including anemia and chronic malnutrition for children under 5. Train school-based staff and health personnel to effectively plan and deliver youth health education activities. Teach students sexual and reproductive health (SRH), life skills, social and emotional well-being and nutrition. Conduct the comprehensive health plan delivery for adolescents alongside the health post staff. You may also work on additional projects that meet the community’s interests and priorities, such as supporting public health campaigns or educational summer camps.
