Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on public financial management systems relevant to health services in partner countries
  • Develop frameworks and tools to monitor and strengthen the use of public funds for health
  • Aid in establishing procedures for budgeting and financial planning in health sectors
  • Advise on compliance, risk management, and auditing for public health expenditures
  • Counsel senior management on PFM strategy implementation and health reforms
  • Offer recommendations to USG Technical Working Groups on PFM and financing issues
  • Act as a technical representative in partner engagements regarding PFM and health financing

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in public financial management, preferably in international contexts
  • Expertise in public financial management best practices in low- and middle-income countries
  • Strong knowledge of government-to-government (G2G) financing mechanisms
  • Proficiency in financial compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-specialist audiences
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and negotiation with government and donors

Pay

$142,000 – $183,500 annually
