Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on public financial management systems relevant to health services in partner countries
- Develop frameworks and tools to monitor and strengthen the use of public funds for health
- Aid in establishing procedures for budgeting and financial planning in health sectors
- Advise on compliance, risk management, and auditing for public health expenditures
- Counsel senior management on PFM strategy implementation and health reforms
- Offer recommendations to USG Technical Working Groups on PFM and financing issues
- Act as a technical representative in partner engagements regarding PFM and health financing
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in public financial management, preferably in international contexts
- Expertise in public financial management best practices in low- and middle-income countries
- Strong knowledge of government-to-government (G2G) financing mechanisms
- Proficiency in financial compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-specialist audiences
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and negotiation with government and donors

$142,000 – $183,500 annually
