About the role
O’Melveny & Myers LLP is seeking a midlevel associate with more than four years of relevant experience to join the Public Company Advisory group within its Capital Markets practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other members of the Public Company Advisory group to provide comprehensive securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance support to our growing public company client base.
- Independently manage day-to-day securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters for our diverse public company client base, which includes technology, healthcare/life sciences, real estate/REITs, retail/consumer services, and both Fortune 500 companies and emerging growth companies.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to public companies on a wide range of securities law issues, including compliance with federal and state securities laws, regulatory filings, and corporate governance best practices.
- Collaborate with other practice groups and departments to ensure seamless integration of legal and business strategies for public company clients.
Requirements
- Extensive experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters.
- Strong academic credentials and exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A deep understanding of the securities laws and direct experience in public company compliance and corporate governance.
Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in California or willing to obtain California bar admission.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in public company securities law, corporate governance, or related field.
- Experience working with public companies across various industries, including technology, healthcare/life sciences, real estate/REITs, retail/consumer services, and both Fortune 500 companies and emerging growth companies.

Pay
The salary range in Silicon Valley for this role is $310,000 - $365,000 and represents the firm’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
