Public Attendant I

Onni is seeking a Common Area Maintenance Attendant to join our Commercial Property Division in Los Angeles. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing common areas and curb appeal while supporting the property management team.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance at the assigned property in a safe manner.
• Proper and safe use of all cleaning equipment, products, and materials.
• Be helpful, cordial, and courteous to guests and co-workers at all times.
• Ensure all areas are maintained and cleaned to company standards.
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, grooming, and attire.
• Respect environmental guidelines.
• Observe and maintain the condition of property throughout buildings, parking structures, and outparcels; immediately report or correct unsafe conditions.
• Ensure storage areas remain locked when not in use.
• Frequently walk the property to remove litter, debris, cigarette butts, and pet droppings from the grounds.
• Perform "trash-out" duties at vacated spaces daily, removing abandoned furniture, trash, and boxes to dumpsters or storage areas.
• Maintain dumpster areas by transferring trash left outside, sweeping, and keeping dumpster/compactor doors closed.
• Detail property regularly: clean and rake shrub areas, shovel mud, and use blowers to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean.
• Perform routine maintenance, including assisting with physical tasks like tearing down fences, digging post holes, and carrying heavy items.
• Clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
• Perform interior and exterior painting duties, including transporting paint buckets.
• Complete minor and routine service requests following established procedures.
• Assist at other commercial properties when needed.
• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, state, and federal laws (e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing).
• Be highly motivated and able to work independently while maintaining awareness of proper safety precautions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent years of education and production maintenance experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Pay

$21.00 per hour.
