This position is open to Alaskan Residents only. This position is currently located in Juneau. The position may be in Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Sitka, or Wasilla, depending upon the location of the most qualified candidate.
What you will be doing:
In this position, you will serve as the Division of Public Assistance's senior policy project manager and program policy advisor. You will lead complex policy development and implementation of initiatives affecting multiple public assistance programs and serve as a subject matter expert in federal and state program requirements.
- You will be responsible for managing policy and regulatory projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with program, operational, systems, legal, and executive leadership staff to ensure policy changes are implemented accurately, consistently, and in compliance with state and federal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities in- Federal and state laws, regulations, and policies governing the administration of public assistance programs;
- Budgetary and fiscal practices related to public assistance programs; and
- Public relations, personnel administration, and office practices, methods and procedures
- Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Professional experience in the administration of public assistance programs;
- Interpretation of public assistance eligibility requirements or regulations;
- Administration, management, or supervision of an automated medical payment system, such as may be gained in a hospital, large medical clinic, or medical insurance company.
