Public Area Atttendant

About the role

As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the interior of the hotel looks its very best at all times. You will help promote the positive image of the property and ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel's interior is clean and welcoming at all times
• Promote the positive image of the property
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments
• Interact with guests in a friendly manner
• Meet the physical requirements of the position (pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, working quickly and constantly on your feet)
• Complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly

Requirements

• A genuine and friendly approach to guest interactions
• Able to collaborate with teammates and with other departments
• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning or housekeeping preferred but not required
• Able to interact with guests in a friendly manner
• Friendly demeanor – a smile when passing a guest is a great communication skill
• Consistent awareness of physical environment and attention to safety & security
• Attention to all details in each public area; impeccable cleanliness in each and every detail
• Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently & thoroughly
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Basic understanding of cleaning tools, equipment and chemicals
• Understanding of safety protocols and able to report safety hazards
