About the role
This position involves gathering and creating multimedia content for various communications platforms, responding to media inquiries, and managing the district's social media presence.
Responsibilities
- Gathers or shoots video, photographs, and artwork/graphics for publications, exhibits, websites, speeches, and events.
- Maintains a robust and timely intranet site for internal communication.
- Responds to media inquiries and meets individual media deadlines.
- Supports the district's social media strategy, identifying opportunities and evaluating their applicability.
- Identifies and pursues innovative ways to inform the public about successful missions or projects.
- Plans and executes informational campaigns through various channels.
Requirements
- Conditions of employment: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. TDY travel expected up to 25% annually. Overtime may be required on short notice.
- Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license.
Qualifications
- Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
- Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01/GS-04 grade level which includes performing technical and/or administrative tasks, communicating effectively orally and written, and assisting with developing communication materials.
