Marketing$146k–$206k/yrFull-time

About the role

We are looking for a public affairs professional with deep experience in elite stakeholder engagement and high-level event production who can design and execute programming that convenes the most influential voices in AI — and who thrives in a fast-paced, campaign-style environment where relationships, precision, and strategic instinct drive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a single-threaded owner for events programming within Meta's AI public affairs campaign, defining the strategy, developing the programming, and driving execution across priority markets.
  • Manage external event vendors, venues, and budgets, oversee logistics for both intimate high-touch gatherings and larger-format convenings with flawless execution.
  • Own the end-to-end production of high-impact events — including roundtables, dinners, salons, policy briefings, convenings, and receptions.
  • Act as the quarterback across Meta's communications, marketing, policy, legal, research, and product teams to ensure events programming is fully integrated with the broader AI campaign strategy and delivers a unified, compelling narrative.
  • Develop compelling event programming with proven experience working with external event production teams, agencies, and partners.
  • Identify and act on emerging moments in the AI policy landscape to deploy timely, high-value engagements — ensuring Meta is present and positioned in the conversations that matter most.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across functions, ensuring that events and engagement strategies are informed by the latest policy intelligence, product developments, and campaign priorities.
  • Define success metrics for events programming, track outcomes including relationship deepening, narrative advancement, policy influence, and earned media impact, and report results to campaign leadership.
  • Define and develop repeatable best practices for elite engagement and events programming that can scale across markets and adapt to evolving campaign needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in public affairs, diplomatic protocol, political campaigns, government relations, or elite stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing high-profile events or convenings with senior government officials, C-suite executives, or policy elites.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple internal functions or departments (e.g., Communications, Policy, Legal, Marketing) to deliver integrated campaign outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing briefing materials and programming for executive and VIP audiences.
  • Attention to detail, logistics, and low ego.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity working with and alongside senior executives, government officials, think tank leaders, academics, and civil society principals.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously with a campaign-speed mindset and exceptional attention to detail, multiple events at once.
  • Existing network among AI policy thought leaders, senior Hill staff, administration officials, think tank principals, or academic leaders in AI/technology.
  • Proven success operating in a large, matrixed organization where campaign outcomes depend on coordinating across teams you don't directly manage — rallying internal partners through influence, clarity, and shared purpose.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a willingness to take initiative, be scrappy, and operate with a high degree of autonomy and judgment.
  • Sound strategic instincts combined with hands-on execution — you're as comfortable hosting a private dinner with senior officials as you are leading an internal cross-functional alignment meeting.
  • Courage and conviction to bring ideas forward, and the adaptability to shift strategy as conditions on the ground evolve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements).
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews).
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
  • Direct experience producing events or convenings that brought together senior government officials, policy leaders, or heads of state — with demonstrated outcomes in relationship-building or policy advancement.
  • Proven success in technology, AI, or innovation policy — with the ability to communicate complex technology topics in accessible, compelling terms for elite audiences.
  • Track record of identifying and capitalizing on emerging policy moments to create high-value engagement opportunities that advance organizational objectives.
