About the role
Napa Valley Care Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will work closely with Physical Therapists to help patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and achieve their highest level of independence.
Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional performance
Absorb patients with gait training, transfer training, mobility activities, and use of adaptive equipment
Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal requirements
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and mobility techniques
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning as needed
Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating treatment environment
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Experience
Experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting
Knowledge of electronic medical records and therapy documentation systems
Strong understanding of Medicare, managed care, and rehabilitation practices
Pay & Schedule
Pay Range: $45.00–$58.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Scheduling Available
