About The Role

Physical Therapy Now is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our clinical team. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, chronic pain, mobility limitations, and other physical conditions. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, professional, and committed to helping patients restore movement, improve function, reduce pain, and return to daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy support, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility activities.
• Aid patients with rehabilitation programs based on the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
• Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and report changes, concerns, or improvements to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, home exercise programs, safety precautions, and injury prevention.
• Document patient treatments accurately and timely in the EMR system.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, payer requirements, and professional standards.
• Ensure treatment areas and equipment are clean, organized, safe, and ready for patient care.
• Build positive relationships with patients, families, referral sources, and team members.
• Support clinic flow by assisting with scheduling coordination, patient engagement, and communication with the care team.
• Promote a professional, welcoming, and compassionate environment for every patient.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the applicable state.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required based on clinic policy.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, front desk staff, technicians, and clinic leadership.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred in many clinic locations.

• Perform hands-on patient care in a busy outpatient clinic setting.

Compensation is based on experience, license status, location, and employment type.
