Maintain Store Standards

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store which includes maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.

Customer Service

Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store and find what they’re looking for.

Cleaning Duties

  • Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
  • Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Mixes water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Deep cleans key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.

Supervisory Tasks

  • Notifies supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
  • Sets out cleaning equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
  • Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.

Compliance and Etiquette

  • Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintains positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
  • Projects a positive image and serves as a role model for other Team Members.

Additional Duties

  • Provides a fast and friendly checkout experience; executes cash handling to standards.
  • Engages customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completes enrollments.
  • Affixes signs and displays merchandise.
  • Assists with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Supports shrink and safety programs.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; executes Company policies and standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach and stretch.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

  • Regularly works in a public retail store setting taking care of our customers; all public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
  • Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
