Position Summary

The Salad Bar Service Clerk is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining the salad bar to ensure fresh, high-quality products are available for customers throughout the day. This role follows food safety and sanitation standards, rotates stock, and keeps the salad bar clean, organized, and visually appealing. The Salad Bar Service Clerk provides friendly customer service and supports department goals by assisting with prep work, replenishment, and daily cleanup.

Operational Excellence

• Prepare, stock, and rotate salad bar items to ensure freshness, quality, and availability throughout the day.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by keeping the salad bar area clean, organized, and compliant with health guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service by answering questions, assisting with product selection, and restocking as needed.
• Execute all production planning

What You Will Bring

• A high school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• 1-3 years of progressive experience in prepared food, retail, or food service
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Fast-paced retail grocery store. Frequent interaction with customers and team members. May involve exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., near entrance or refrigerated areas).
