About the role

As a Self-Checkout Ambassador, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while monitoring and assisting customers with the self-checkout process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor self-checkout area to ensure customers have a positive experience
• Assist customers with scanning, bagging, and payment processing at self-checkout stations
• Verify age-restricted items and perform ID checks as required
• Resolve scanner or payment errors promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the self-checkout area
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance with store operations
• Ensure loss prevention measures are followed

Qualifications

• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer and cash register operation skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
