PT Security Staff

Responsibilities

• Participate in Security briefing before each event
• Monitor and report from assignment area
• Communicate all security/crowd issues to Security Supervisor or Manager on Duty
• Provide an outstanding customer experience by answering general facility and program questions, monitoring building reservations, directing members and guests to proper locations, educating patrons on building policies
• Enforce policies and standards for the entire facility that are set forth by the department.
• Serve as primary organizer in risk management situations to ensure all staff members are performing their responsibilities properly
• Respond to all medical and non-medical emergencies
• Ensure that all risk management measures have been taken
• Continually monitor all facility activity and program areas
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of entire facility
• Attend all staff meetings, monthly meetings and communicate as needed through emails, group messaging, telephone, and email
• Assist in set up and break down duties as assigned
• Follow and adhere to all procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

• Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
• Authoritative verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings
• Security guard training certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills including active listening
• Basic knowledge of computer skills with the ability to learn new software
• Ability and willingness to enforce policies
• Must be able to discuss, converse with, and exchange accurate information with patrons, staff, stakeholders, etc.
• Work Environment and Physical Demands: Office and events environment, Non-smoking environment, Moderate to loud noise, Maintain flexible hours for events that occur on weekends and evenings
• Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the work day, Walking or working events, Must be able to traverse throughout the center, Must be able to lift, move and set up items weighing as much as 50 lbs., Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly, Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary
