PT - Retail Associate

Description The Retail Associate will be an energetic fan of seafood and beef, working in our seafood shop located in Wichita, KS. This position will be responsible for assisting customers by providing samples and maintaining great customer service. Additional duties will include maintaining the register, selling seafood/Wagyu, stocking, and cleaning. The individual hired for this role will be a high-energy, positive person who enjoys working with friendly teammates in a supportive, and fun work environment. Requirements Duties & Responsibilities Customer Care Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the storeAssessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their beef needsWorking with cash registers and processing paymentsPreparing samples for tastingGiving customers advice about sales and promotionsUsing upselling techniques to increase store salesComprehensive understanding of Wagyu productsCollaborate on receiving and restocking inventory Teamwork & Self-Accountability Ability to work cohesively with their team in a respectful and professional mannerEffectively communicates both orally and written. Utilizes company tools to communicate relevant information daily via the activity log and to their supervisorMaintains a positive attitude and demeanor in all aspects of their position including room management and customer service.Maintains consistent time and attendance standardsFollows company dress code guidelines for professional and safe standardsIs on time for scheduled shifts and in the case of an emergency calls in advance of their shift to allow time for proper coverageTakes their own development as a personal responsibility and uses mistakes or challenges as an opportunity to grow to a higher standard of performance Steward of Building Care & Cleanliness Continually monitor cleanliness of sampling kitchen and retail shop Perform daily cleaning assignments which may include, but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, running the dishwasher and cleaning freezersFollow standard cleaning procedures including proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment Qualifications Flexible schedule to include weekendsCattle experience preferred, but not requiredCustomer Service preferred, but not requiredComputer skills preferred, but not requiredAbility to stand up to 8 hours, bend repetitively, and use cleaning products to disinfect and sanitizeAbility to move quickly throughout the shop while maintaining composure and keeping a smile!Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 40 lbs.
