Responsibilities

• Assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through advertising/marketing opportunities; enhance sales through rentals, insurance, and moving supplies
• Provide excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions; guide new customers through rental processes
• Resolve issues professionally and positively
• Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units; keep well-organized records
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections to ensure timely and consistent completion
• Shop local competitors in-person and online; report gathered information, including rates and specials, to supervisors and other departments; perform additional marketing functions as needed
• Monitor rates, specials, and revenue-related factors
• Perform required daily administrative tasks, including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits, and completing auctions according to policy and laws
• At participating locations, assist tenants with completing, processing, and returning rentals through programs such as U-Haul, Penske, or company-owned rental truck services

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in sales or retail environment preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred
• At least one year of property management experience preferred
• Background screening will be conducted at time of hire
• For positions that involve driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
