Physical Therapist Overview

As a Physical Therapist, you'll evaluate residents, develop individualized care plans, and provide therapy services to improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Develop and update individualized care plans and therapy goals
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams regarding resident progress and needs
  • Participate in resident care planning meetings
  • Assist with education and training initiatives as needed
  • Support a safe, respectful, resident-centered care environment

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of physical therapy required
  • State license to practice physical therapy required
  • Two years’ experience in physical therapy preferred
  • Ability to direct others necessary
