Responsibilities
- Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, including accurate data entry, retrieving, counting, or pouring medications, and labeling products.
- Ensure customers receive all their prescriptions in a timely manner.
- Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with standard practice and legal requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Help customers find over-the-counter items.
- Follow and adhere to attendance and paid time off policies.
- Coordinate and assist with scheduling.
- Understand and adhere to state-specific and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory, including ordering and returning products, stocking shelves, and proper separation and return of outdated products.
- Maintain knowledge of physical inventory procedures and assist in the physical inventory process, including analyzing variance reports and reports from Control D.
- Review and understand ACIS reports.
- Assist in third-party audits as needed.
- Share responsibility for department maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring quality appearance and presentation.
- Maintain and assist with ordering pharmacy department supplies (e.g., bottles, bags, labels, staples).
- Observe, adhere to, and understand all company policies and standard practices.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with company dress code policies.
- Support company safety standards, communicate needed equipment repairs, and keep work areas free of debris and safety hazards.
- Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect, fostering a positive and enthusiastic environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing as required.
- Maintain current national certification and state license as required.
- Maintain advanced certifications (e.g., immunizer certification) and requirements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong keyboard skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.

Physical Requirements
- Stand 100% of the shift with occasional short-distance walking.
- Use of computer, pharmacy filling equipment, and register 90% of the time.
- Frequent/continuous use of hands to handle various sizes of containers, manipulate individual pills/capsules, and operate counting equipment.
- Clerical accuracy and mathematical skills, including the ability to operate a cash register.
- Frequent use of office supplies, communication devices, and computer systems.
- Frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 20 lb. below the waist and at or above shoulder level.
- Repetitive bending at the knees and waist throughout the workday.
- Sufficient visual acuity and audio capability to process prescriptions and service customers.
Pay
Salary range is between $21.80 - $29.00 hourly.
