PT Pharmacy Technician Certified State/National - 6285

This position focuses on filling prescriptions, assisting customers, unpacking totes, answering telephone calls, and responding to questions within specified limits. Team members must be state or nationally certified.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule, check equipment, fill supplies, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Move, open, and unpack incoming totes, placing items on appropriate shelves.
• Clean shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect products for expiration dates.
• Help customers and answer telephone calls.
• Verify customer identification for restricted products when required.
• Complete the prescription‑filling process, including data entry and product dispensing.
• Maintain state or national certification and keep the license current.
• If certified to immunize, administer immunizations to customers.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Meet the state‑required minimum age.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand job duties and company policies and safety regulations.
• Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Ability to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools required for the job.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet company performance standards.
• Agree to wear the proper assigned clothing and shoes approved for this job.
• Maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.
• Be state or nationally certified.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shift or more, depending upon business needs.
• Job cycles: continual.
• Maximum lift/carry: 50 lb.
• Standing: 55 % of the time; walking: 45 %; sitting: 0 %.
• Category IV lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lb.
• Maximum pull (static): 20 lb.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policy and procedures as outlined in the policy and procedure manual and employee manual.
• Compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and standards.
• Knowledge of MSDS information for all materials used during work.
• Completion of Lockout/Tagout training.
• Completion of Confined Space training.
• Completion of Right‑to‑Know training.
• Completion of HIPAA training for Pharmacy Associates.
• Completion of all additional pharmacy training requirements.

Pay

Salary range: $12.77 – $17.65 per hour.

Schedule

Minimum 4‑hour shift or more, with continual job cycles as needed.
