Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to help customers and answer telephone calls while supporting the store’s commitment to strong families, healthy communities, and inclusive values.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule promptly at the start of the shift.
• Assist customers at the counter.
• Answer and assist with telephone calls.
• Verify identification of customers for products when required.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Meet state‑required minimum age.
• Successfully complete background check and drug screening.
• Read, write, communicate, and understand job duties to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Complete the 60‑day introductory (probationary) period.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, including physical base scores for the position.
• Ability to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools required for the job.
• Meet company performance standards, including regular attendance.
• Perform all job functions safely.
• Agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shifts or more, depending on business needs.
• Job cycles: continual.
• Lift/carry: up to 50 lb (Category IV lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling).
• Maximum static pull: 20 lb.
• Standing: 55 % of the time.
• Walking: 45 % of the time.
• Sitting: 0 % of the time.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policy and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
• Compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and standards.
• Knowledge of MSDS information for all materials used.
• Completion of Lockout/Tagout training.
• Completion of Confined Space training.
• Completion of Right‑to‑Know training.
• Completion of HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
• Completion of all additional pharmacy training requirements.
