PT Pharmacist Per Diem

Job Summary

Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions.
• Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
• Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy.
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third‑party claims.
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in‑stock for customer needs.
• Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
• Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
• Ensures all loss prevention policies are followed by all employees and reports deviations to Loss Prevention.
• Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
• Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and other health service professionals.
• Maintains awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines.
• Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed.
• Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
