PT/OT Technician, Inpatient

About the role

The Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Sticht Center is seeking a full time Physical and Occupational Therapy Technician to join the dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional staff with Physical, Occupational, Speech, or Recreational Therapy treatments and/or completion of paperwork.
• Supervises patient exercise program in Physical and Occupational Therapy under the direct guidance of a therapist or an assistant.
• Prepares modalities for the Physical and Occupational Therapy licensed staff.
• Transports patients and equipment
• Monitors equipment for cleanliness and operation per regulatory guidelines.
• Reinforces patient and family education as instructed by the licensed therapy staff.
• Copies, stocks, and inventories therapy forms and supplies.
• Assists with orienting new and rotating staff.
• Provides cross-coverage as needed throughout Advocate Health facilities.
• Performs multidisciplinary scheduling for the inpatient rehab therapy team.
• Handles various administrative tasks.
• Provides hands-on patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent team and patient communication skills
• Flexibility
• Organization
• Time management skills
• Previous training with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced rehabilitation environment
• EPIC experience (strongly preferred)
• Scheduling experience (strongly preferred)
