PT - Nursing Education & Simulation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with academic partners, faculty, and staff to provide strategies and academic reinforcement to students.
• Assess learning styles, identify strengths, and develop personalized remediation plans for students preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam.
• Support clinical learning lab and simulated patient care experiences, including equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, set-up, and clean-up.
• Facilitate simulation-based experiences and workshops related to the NCLEX-RN.
• Communicate and document students' progress towards achieving learning outcomes to academic leadership.
• Create and coordinate detailed clinically based scenarios for simulated learning experiences, using high-fidelity patient simulators.
• Staff open lab sessions and provide individual oversight for students practicing and remedying technical nursing skills.
• Participate in outreach to students with at-risk referrals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Education or Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate via telephone, computer, and in person.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Maintain a current, unencumbered RN license.
• BLS CPR required and ACLS/PALS preferred.
