Responsibilities
- Collaborate with academic partners, faculty, and staff to provide strategies and academic reinforcement to students.
- Assess learning styles, identify strengths, and develop personalized remediation plans for students preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam.
- Support clinical learning lab and simulated patient care experiences, including equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, set-up, and clean-up.
- Facilitate simulation-based experiences and workshops related to the NCLEX-RN.
- Communicate and document students' progress towards achieving learning outcomes to academic leadership.
- Create and coordinate detailed clinically based scenarios for simulated learning experiences, using high-fidelity patient simulators.
- Staff open lab sessions and provide individual oversight for students practicing and remedying technical nursing skills.
- Participate in outreach to students with at-risk referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- Master's Degree in Education or Nursing preferred.
- 1+ year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate via telephone, computer, and in person.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Maintain a current, unencumbered RN license.
- BLS CPR required and ACLS/PALS preferred.
