PT Mobile Beverage Cart Operator

About the role

The Part-Time Mobile Beverage Cart Operator provides food and beverage service to golfers throughout the golf course while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operates beverage cart safely and professionally throughout the golf course;
• Provides courteous and prompt service to golfers and guests;
• Sells and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and approved snack items;
• Verifies customer age and complies with all TABC regulations regarding alcohol sales and service;
• Processes cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately;
• Stocks and restocks beverages, snacks, ice, and supplies before and during shifts;
• Maintains inventory records and reports shortages or product needs to supervisor;
• Keeps beverage cart clean, organized, sanitary, and presentable at all times;
• Removes trash and maintains cleanliness around service areas;
• Ensures beverages and food products are stored in accordance with health and safety requirements;
• Reconciles cash drawer at end of shift;
• Observes safety rules and procedures;
• Reports customer concerns, equipment issues, accidents, or facility problems to supervisor in a timely manner;
• Promotes a positive image of Starcke Park Golf Course through professional appearance and customer service.

• Performs such other duties as may be required.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Knowledge of: customer service practices; cash handling procedures; beverage inventory control; golf course operations; safe operation of golf carts; and applicable TABC regulations.
• Ability to: follow written and oral instructions; communicate effectively with the public and fellow employees; establish and maintain effective working relationships; handle cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately; maintain and promote a positive professional image; work independently with minimal supervision; and work variable shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Physical ability

• Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift, carry and/or move objects/supplies weighing up to 50 lbs;
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures and wet conditions.
