PT Manual Out-of-Town Scoreboard Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for keeping the Minute Maid Park manual scoreboard up to date with scores from around Major League Baseball
• Support and work closely with Fan Experience Staff and BPE Control Room Staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of the game of baseball, moreover Major League Baseball
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with other departments and tenured production staff
• Be organized, flexible and able to work in a live-production and fast-paced environment
• Have a professional image and demeanor
• Able to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends, holidays and commit to 25 or more events as needed
• Able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment
• Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking and hearing. The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus. The position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed

Work Environment

• Position will work in an office and stadium environment
• The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment

Nature of position

• This is a part-time and seasonal position
• Travel is not expected for this position
