Position Summary
The Part Time Keyholder is an entry-level leadership role responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and executing day-to-day store operations. This Keyholder supports the Store Manager by following customer engagement strategies and maintaining merchandising standards that support a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure excellence in customer service in the store by upholding high retail standards to ensure an in-store experience that aligns with company standards.
- Initiate conversations with all customers, building a relationship to learn interests and identify products to suggest.
- Aid customers in the fitting room and recommend products that are aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling and encourage the customer to make a purchase.
- Build brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieve weekly loyalty sign-up goals.
- Learn about new products and trends to better engage customers.
- Consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
- Provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
Visual, Operation, and Safety
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing, freight processing, accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity.
- Follow company and store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines; communicate concerns to store leadership.
- React quickly to all customers and/or employee injuries and report them immediately to the Manager on Duty.
- Participate in Loss Prevention Audits, understand and comply with company loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Leadership
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the other members of the leadership team.
- Absorb and relay any employee’s concerns directly to the Store Manager.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, and store procedures.
- Address customer concerns professionally and in accordance with company guidelines.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Retail or customer-facing experience preferred but not required.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- This role requires a minimum availability of 30 hours per week including one weekend day and rotating holidays, additional availability a plus.
Essential Functions
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
- Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., cash register, computers, phones, scanners, etc.).
- Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
- Walking and moving to assist customers, retrieve merchandise and recover the store.
- Lifting and carrying, ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking the store.
- Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
- Manual labor is required occasionally to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
- Vision to accurately read labels, assist customers, and tasks that require attention to detail.
- Ability to use fine manipulation, and grasp with hands to sort and organize clothing, ex. place on hangers, folding, organize in color/size order.
