PT General Merchandise Stocker
Cub Maplewood East is seeking a dedicated individual for a part-time general merchandise stock position. Stockers follow procedures including load cutting, sorting, display building, and ensuring product availability. Product rotation is critical to maintain freshness and minimize waste. This role requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills to contribute to an efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete assignments in allotted time
- Handle product carefully to avoid damage
- Use proper case cutting technique
- Ensure correct placement of stock
- Rotate and face product
- Perform clean-up of sales floor and back room
- Assist with customer questions or requests
Requirements
- Operate equipment (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
- Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
- Good judgment for times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Write identifying information and request supplies verbically or in writing
- Work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 16 years of age or older
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
