About the role
The Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program and Department of Psychology at the Long Island University/Post Campus is seeking applications for a Part-Time Clinical Faculty Supervisor for the Psychological Services Center (PSC). This position is a stipend position, 16 hours per week on campus, set to begin in September 2025.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the PSC Director in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Facilitating students' professional development and training
- Attending PSC administrative and clinical meetings
- Conducting phone screenings, triaging clinical cases
- Coordinating clinic didactics
- Supervising students
- Ensuring fidelity to maintaining the PSC mission
- Aiding in the creation and maintenance of intra-departmental (i.e., the PsyD academic program), inter-departmental (i.e., LIU programs and offices), and community relationships and collaborations
- Providing crucial on-site support for all PSC trainees during the workday and evenings when no other licensed clinical staff are available
Qualifications
- PsyD or PhD from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program
- New York license in Psychology
About the Psychological Services Center
The PSC is a training site for the PsyD Clinical Psychology Program, a dual-orientation program that trains students in cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. The center serves children, adolescents, and adult clients from the community. The doctoral program endorses a practitioner-scholar training model and is accredited - on probation - under appeal by the American Psychological Association.
Pay
Stipend of $30,000.
