PT - Event Cleaner - Downtown Richmond

Job Description

We are looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Event Cleaning Staff. In this role, you'll ensure that event spaces remain clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout various events, including sporting events, graduations, and other special occasions. Your work will help create a welcoming environment for guests by maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after the event.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the event, including promptly clearing away trash, wiping surfaces, restocking restrooms, and assisting with spills or other immediate needs as they arise.
• Conduct thorough post-event cleaning, including removing trash, cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and ensuring that the venue is restored to its original condition.
• Collect and properly dispose of all waste and recycling generated during the event, ensuring designated waste areas remain organized.
• Use cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, mops, and brooms, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with event managers to promptly address any urgent cleaning needs and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the event.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in custodial or event cleaning preferred but not required; training is provided.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend throughout the shift, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor around event guests.
• Strong focus on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and take direction from supervisors.
