PT Evening Server

About the role

The PT Evening Server plays a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for residents, family members, and guests at MBK Senior Living. This position focuses on delivering exceptional dining service, maintaining cleanliness, and fostering a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving appetizing meals in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Uphold high standards of table etiquette and assist residents with their meal and menu selections.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and seating residents promptly, and ensuring all dining needs are met.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate with team members for safety checks on absent residents.
• Clean and sanitize dining areas, tables, and serving stations, and manage inventory of food and condiments.
• Aid in community marketing efforts by engaging positively with residents, family members, and guests.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by reporting safety issues and complying with safety standards and policies.
• Support team members by offering guidance, coaching, and recognition through MBK’s mentor, buddy, and executive director training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in restaurant operations or the ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Basic counting skills for tracking meals and residents.
• Ability to operate standard serving equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn MBK’s core values and principles.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older or proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Completed required background clearances, health screenings, and provided negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (within the last 6 months).
• Compliant with state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Skills

Effective communication, customer service, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to adapt to different dining environments and residents' needs is also important.
