About the role
This position will teach Lower School (PreK 3 through 4th grade) music 2 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive music program fostering a love of music, creativity, and performance among students.
- Teach general music instruction, vocal and/or instrumental direction.
- Provide opportunities for student performances within the school community.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with both colleagues and the community.
- Experience teaching music to elementary and/or middle school students.
- Passion for engaging young learners through music.
- Skilled in curriculum development and instruction.
- Willingness to incorporate interdisciplinary connections, performance opportunities, and varied instructional approaches.
- Meaningful skill with technology to create authentic learning experiences for students.
- Open to integrating project-based learning, social-emotional learning, and differentiated instruction into teaching practice.
- Supportive of the Catholic mission and excited to work in a faith-based environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
- Valid New Hampshire teaching license.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other faculty members.
