PT Dock Supervisor - $26.50/Hour

About the role

We are seeking a Part Time Working Dock Supervisor at our Sturgeon, MO terminal. The position is open to individuals who can work flexible hours from Monday to Friday, starting at 4:00 PM, and working approximately 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Organize the dock and provide paperwork for dockworkers
• Oversee the loading of trailers to ensure accuracy
• Manage the daily operations of the City Pickup and Delivery Team for safety, performance, and efficiency
• Monitor line haul operations and dock performance
• Solve issues related to lost and missing freight
• Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Report facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department
• Comply with federal, state, and company regulations
• Process paperwork daily
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum age of 18
• High School completion or equivalent
• Valid Driver License
• Supervisory experience required
• Ability to work any shift
• Knowledge and ability to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Routing
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Detail-oriented, organized
• Must meet all physical requirements
• Forklift safety and hazardous material handling certification required
• Must be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock, and two-wheel handcart
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. on an infrequent basis
• Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must have the ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts, and tractors
• May be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures and dusty conditions
