About the role

Our front-end clerks are the essential staff at Stop & Shop stores. They handle various tasks including bagging groceries, sweeping and mopping floors, collecting carts, disposing of trash, keeping restrooms and workstations clean, and greeting and assisting customers.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. Must be punctual and reliable. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Skills

Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is preferred.
