About the role

The Produce Clerk is responsible for stocking, rotating, and merchandising fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring quality, freshness, and food safety standards are met. This role provides friendly customer service by answering questions, assisting with product selection, and maintaining a clean, well-organized department. By keeping displays attractive and products fresh, the Produce Clerk helps create a positive shopping experience and supports overall store sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay

Salary range: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Retail schedule with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fast-paced grocery store environment with frequent customer and team interaction; may involve exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., near entrance or refrigerated areas).
