Position Summary

The Produce Clerk is responsible for stocking, rotating, and merchandising fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring quality, freshness, and food safety standards are met. This role provides friendly customer service by answering questions, assisting with product selection, and maintaining a clean, well-organized department.

Support daily operations of the produce department, including inventory management, merchandising, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Maintain appealing product displays and build strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, freshness, and sales growth.

• Oral and written communication skills

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Fast-paced retail grocery store. Frequent interaction with customers and team members. May involve exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., near entrance or refrigerated areas).

Pay

Salary range is between $15.30 - $18.00 Hrly
