Essential Job Functions
- Transporting student-athletes, coaches and staff to and from campus to practices and/or competitions; schedule must be flexible to include availability to work on weekday afternoons and evenings and weekends as needed.
- Check fluid levels on lot and on the road; top off as needed.
- Fuel coaches when out on the road.
- Read maps, follow written and verbal geographic directions to get passengers to destinations safely.
- Maintains bus cleanliness after each trip by ensuring all passengers remove their trash.
- Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Report accidents or any other traffic incidents and situation by text or phoning.
- Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- All other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or certification that is comparable to one of the two
- Commercial Driver's License (with P endorsement) required.
- Three years of experience driving buses and one year of over the road with coaches of a similar nature, preferably at the college level.
- Successful history and record of safe and responsible driving.
- Up to date DOT Medical Card to be in compliance.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
