Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and concurrent assessments;
- Develop individualized treatment plans every six months.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) during the initial assessment or when problem behaviors arise.
- Review treatment plans and BIPs with parents/caregivers prior to implementation, ensuring signatures are obtained on all plans.
- Email supervisor if additional service hours are needed for assessments, training, or supervision.
- Bring necessary instructional materials to client sessions at least weekly.
- Provide direct services to clients when behavior therapists are unavailable.
- Train and supervise behavior therapists on skill acquisition programs and BIPs.
- Email supervisor if unable to provide supervision during any week the client is receiving therapy.
- Provide parents and caregivers with training on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies.
- Afford assistance in navigating IEPs, evaluations by other providers, understanding autism, ABA principles, and special education systems.
- Coordinate care between home, school, and other service providers to ensure consistency and alignment of treatment goals.
- Assists in conducting annual evaluations of behavior therapists.
- Schedules monthly clinics with family, therapists, and director, as needed.
- Updates client schedule in Google Drive as needed.
- Conducts calls with families as needed to troubleshoot problems or parent questions.
- Maintains open communication with parents and behavior therapists including scheduling home programming.
- Alerts supervisor if scheduling problems arise that cannot be resolved.
- Supervises BCBA candidates, BCaBa, and RBT candidates.
- Attends meetings, events, group calls, trainings, workshops, and seminars as required by Graham Behavior Services.
- Completes projects such as participation in the Graham Behavior Services podcast, ABA Ultimate Showdown, creating presentations and trainings, blog posts, and additional website content as required.
- Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
- Checks Graham Behavior Services email address daily from Monday through Friday.
- Monitors children for signs of child abuse, and reports incidents of suspected abuse to supervisor immediately.
- Informs supervisor of any problems or concerns with staff, clients, client’s family, and systems or procedures used by Graham Behavior Services.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practice of Applied Behavior Analysis. Including general behavioral assessment and Ethical Standards in Behavior Analysis.
- Solid knowledge of the behavioral impact of developmental disabilities, as well as the cognitive, educational, vocational and social challenges encountered by persons with developmental disabilities.
- Maintains advanced working knowledge of human development practices and standards, and principles of applied behavioral analysis.
- Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
- Ability to work effectively with various technologies and software.
- Consistently demonstrates a high level of integrity, responsibility, accountability, teamwork and ethics.
- Adheres to all policies, procedures and standard practices of Graham Behavior Services.
- Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment.
- Experience, Education And Training:
- Strong clinical background in administering verbal behavior assessments, conducting language, play, and skill-based assessments, and in designing, implementing, and/or training others using individualized language, play and skill-based curricula.
- Experience in 1:1 education of learners with autism across educational and community settings, as well as familiarity with designing, participating in, or supervising in-home 1:1 programs for young individuals with autism.
- Collecting, graphing, analyzing, displaying and discussing data based progress is a must.
- Masters Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field, is required. Preferably from an ABA accredited program.
- Must possess a BCBA license in the state of NJ and maintain a BCBA license in good standing.
- Training and certification under the Behavior Analysis Certification Program (BACB) for Applied Behavior Analysis as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Acquire and maintain supervision credential through BACB to provide supervision for BCaBAs, BCBA candidates, and RBTs.
- Minimum two years experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
