Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
• Maintain a neat and well-groomed personal appearance at all times.
• Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned.
• Help train other associates when certified.
• Maintain solid communication within the department and organization.
• Support company safety standards and report equipment repairs or maintenance needs.
• Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.
• Wash, clean, and sanitize equipment according to company guidelines.
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of the Bakery Department (rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, platters, etc.).
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.
• Prepare products for baking, including setting, proofing, thawing, cutting, baking, and cooling.
• Support cycle baking and identify quality opportunities.
• Prioritize and plan production to maximize efficiency, meet customer demand, and minimize shrink.
• Package and display products according to standard practices and customer demands.
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory.
• Frost, base ice, and decorate cakes, including personalization when necessary.
• Retrieve and organize bakery product loads.
• Use the RF (Radio Frequency) unit as part of daily activity.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive grasping, pinching, squeezing, and hand/arm motions while standing/walking most of the shift.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. 40% of the time and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach to shoulder level or overhead while lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Handle various substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, and food products.

Preferred Requirements

• Provide outstanding friendly customer service.
• Assist customers in product selection.
• Experience with bakery production processes, including baking, decorating, and packaging.

Pay

Salary range is between $15.10 - $19.65 per hour.
