About the role
The Bakeoff Assistant is responsible for supporting the Baker in preparing and showcasing a variety of baked goods. Demonstrates knowledge in baking recipe execution, and decoration, ensuring all items meet customer preferences and store standards. Works closely with the Baker to ensure fresh daily inventory and uphold strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Passionate about delivering a top-tier customer experience through high-quality, visually appealing, and delicious baked goods.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and seasonal or specialty items.
- Follow standardized recipes and store guidelines to ensure consistent quality, texture, and taste.
- Take customer orders and provide excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in bakeoff, retail, or food service/prep.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- An attention to detail.
- The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required.
- Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Pay
Salary range is between $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
