PT Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach

About the role

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Golf and assist with all aspects of the men’s and women’s golf program. Duties include managing and coaching tournaments, conducting course reviews, assisting with course management at practice rounds, and planning practices. Additional responsibilities may include team travel, equipment and resource maintenance, fundraising, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach men’s and women’s golf tournaments
• Conduct course reviews and assist with course management
• Assist with team travel and equipment maintenance
• Conduct practices and plan training sessions
• Assist with fundraising efforts
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Coaching experience and/or experience as a college golfer preferred
• Knowledge of the golf swing and its mechanics preferred
• Valid driver’s license and insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and institutional rules and regulations
