PT Adjunct Faculty, Medical Assisting - SPRING 2026

About the role

Mohave Community College is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Medical Assistant Program. Instructors will deliver high-quality instruction through traditional, online, hybrid, and evening courses, ensuring students receive the knowledge and practical skills required for success in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging classroom presentations, assignments, and lab demonstrations.
• Develop and distribute course syllabi detailing objectives, requirements, attendance expectations, grading criteria, and office hours.
• Maintain accurate grade and attendance records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Submit grades, participation reports, and other documentation by established deadlines.
• Attend adjunct faculty meetings and participate in required trainings.
• Apply college policies, procedures, and academic standards consistently.
• Adhere to scheduled class times and maintain professional attendance standards.
• Support student academic success through availability, communication, and mentoring.
• Stay current with trends, research, and best practices in medical assisting and healthcare education.
• Collaborate effectively with full-time faculty and participate in departmental evaluation processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and/or experience qualifications as outlined in the MCC Faculty Qualifications guidelines.
• Documentation verifying eligibility must be submitted with the application.

Pay, Schedule, & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $820 per load hour
• Enrollment Requirement: Courses require a minimum of nine (9) enrolled students for assignment.
