Psychotherapist or Licensed Mental Health Counselor

About the role

Provide behavioral health services to clients at assigned sites, including nursing home settings. Deliver care to a caseload referred by Primary Care clinicians and behavioral health APRNs, and consult with the Interdisciplinary Team on behavioral health issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and provide individual and group psychotherapy.
• Act as a role model for professional relationships, effective communication, and teamwork.
• Conduct routine and urgent psychiatric evaluations.
• Develop clinically appropriate behavioral health treatment plans focusing on relational, behavioral, and affective functioning.
• Implement evidence-based and best-practice psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Monitor clients’ response to interventions and adjust plans as necessary.
• Document interventions, rationale, and client responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Provide behavioral health consultation and support to the Interdisciplinary Team to integrate psychiatric concepts/skills into care delivery.
• Participate in Behavioral Health program projects to enhance clinical practice, teamwork, and program development.
• Cover for Behavioral Health colleagues when needed.
• Pass a fit test; position requires wearing a mask where a tight seal is critical (no facial hair that interferes with respirator seal).
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
• License to practice in the Commonwealth of MA as an LICSW or LMHC.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in psychotherapy.
• Evidence of competence in evaluation and treatment of older adults, including psychotherapy, crisis evaluations, and caregiver consultation.
• At least 1 year of experience with elders.
• COVID-19 vaccine required.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (no weekend or holiday hours).

Pay

$69,000–$98,000 yearly salary.
