Psychotherapist (LCSW/LMHC) Remote Part-Time

Summary/Objective

The Licensed Psychotherapist will work as a dedicated full-time employee and part of a multidisciplinary team to provide virtual-first psychosocial assessments and skill-based psychotherapy and education to individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), and caregiver support to the people supporting patients with SMI, dementia, and other disorders.

Essential Functions

• Direct Patient Care (87%)
  • Provide virtual-first psychosocial assessments and psychotherapy to individuals with serious mental illness; facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care
  • Provide audio-only follow-up sessions in the event of technical issues or if the patient is unable to access video technology
  • Document treatment response and monitor clinical symptoms
  • Lead/facilitate support groups and group therapy
• Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration (13%)
  • Identify social determinants of health needs that team members will work to resolve
  • Serve a crucial role on a multidisciplinary care team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, community health workers, and medical assistants; participate in huddles and multidisciplinary communication

• Working knowledge of differential diagnosis of common mental health and/or substance use disorders, when appropriate
• Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments and brief behavioral interventions for common mental health disorders, when appropriate (e.g., motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation)

Education and Experience

• Experience with screening for common mental health and/or substance use disorders
• Experience with assessment and treatment planning for common mental health and/or substance use disorders
• Experience conducting psychotherapy via telehealth
• Active and unrestricted licensure as one of the following in Florida (or ability to become licensed in Florida): Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Experience with collaborative care is a plus
• EMDR trained or certified is a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish-English and/or Haitian-Creole/English) preferred

Physical Demands

• This role requires sitting for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• Part-time
• Schedule Options: 8 hours per day, 3-4 days per week (must include Wednesdays); 4.75 hours per day, 5 days per week
