Psychotherapist/Counselor - Flexible part time or full time

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to residents' unique needs.
• Provide individual counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, and cognitive changes using evidence-based techniques.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to ensure residents receive seamless, integrated care.
• Respond to emotional or psychological crises with immediate intervention and support.
• Ensure quality and compliance by keeping accurate, confidential records and following ethical, state, and federal guidelines.
• Navigate multiple electronic medical records with confidence and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Licensure: Current and valid state licensure to practice independently as a Psychologist (Ph.D/Psy.D.), LCSW/LISW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT.
• Experience: Previous experience in a mental health role, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting. Experience working with elderly populations and understanding age-related mental health issues is highly preferred.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with residents and families; strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

This role can be flexible for part-time or full-time with a mixture of onsite and telehealth.
