About the Role

Provide therapeutic and diagnostic services to patients in primary care or specialty care settings using evidence-based models and interventions. This includes individual, group, and family therapy, mental health intakes and assessments, diagnostics, and coordination of treatment services. The position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver mental health treatment for adults, adolescents, and/or children using generally accepted psychotherapeutic modalities.
  • Deliver care in the Collaborative Care model to treat mild to moderate depression and anxiety.
  • Accurately assess and diagnose patient complaints and develop age-appropriate treatment plans in consultation with the patient and family.
  • Apply diagnostic criteria from the DSM 5, ICD-10, and other current diagnostic lexicons.
  • Involve others in patient care through case conferences, consultation, and/or referrals.
  • Incorporate psychiatric and psychological assessments and recommendations into treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, or family therapy as prescribed by the treatment plan, continuously evaluating progress and revising the plan as needed.
  • Recognize when maximum benefits from treatment have been attained and plan for discharge.
  • Ensure treatment and discharge planning comply with regulatory agencies and third-party payers, including timely completion of prior authorizations.
  • Accurately document all clinical activities and treatment within defined medical record time parameters.
  • Perform organization-wide duties as requested and uphold Essentia Health’s mission, vision, values, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a discipline with eligibility for independent licensure, such as social work, clinical counseling, marriage & family therapy, or clinical psychology.
  • Licensed at the entry or independent level in Minnesota or Wisconsin. In other states, must be certified or licensed as required for reimbursement. Supervision for independent licensure will be considered.
  • Able and willing to travel to neighborhood and regional clinic sites as requested.

Pay

$31.05 - $46.58 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time (FTE: 1), weekdays, day rotation. Work is performed in a well-lit, ventilated, and reasonably quiet office environment.
