Job Responsibilities
- Develops, monitors, and documents individualized mental health treatment goals and objectives as part of interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Provides evidence-based individual, group, milieu, and family psychotherapy interventions in accordance with each patient’s treatment plan.
- Schedules weekly individual therapy sessions and family sessions unless otherwise indicated by the treatment team.
- Coordinates and schedules weekly individual therapy sessions and family sessions unless otherwise indicated by the treatment team.
- Maintains timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation for all patient encounters and interventions.
- Provides psychoeducation, de-escalation support, and behavioral management strategies to interdisciplinary staff members.
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and patient care conferences.
- Conducts ongoing behavioral and psychosocial assessments to identify barriers impacting medical or rehabilitation progress.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and effectiveness of behavioral and clinical interventions.
- Communicates treatment updates, behavioral concerns, patient progress, and recommendations to the Program Director and Program Medical Director.
- Aids in discharge planning and transition coordination to the next appropriate level of care.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
- Experience: Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring behavioral intervention programs preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an inpatient hospital, rehabilitation, or behavioral health setting preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current Texas licensure as an LPC, or LCSW required. Current BLS certification required. All licenses and certifications must remain active and in good standing throughout employment.
