About the role
Collects demographic information from a patient, and where appropriate, enters test data or background information into a template. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Administers and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests.
- Makes notes of behavioral observations during the assessment.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Completes a written summary of patient testing performance.
- Provides a written summary of the patient’s behavior during testing, including any interactions with the patient’s parents or peers that may be observed incidentally.
- Attends training conferences offered by the department as well as by outside organizations.
- Reviews and ensures timeliness, accuracy, and availability and security of information.
- Complies with Infection Control and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Understands, adheres to and models Core Standards as defined organizationally and specifically within the department/unit.
- Maintains an appropriate environment requisite to the performance of neuropsychological testing duties including appropriate cleanliness, lighting, and environmental temperature regulation.
- Demonstrates an open, honest, caring, and committed communication style with staff, visitors, patients, and families.
- Practices efficient use of appropriate supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
- No licensure/certification required.
- Six months experience in a clerical, office, or general business and/or customer service setting.
