About the role

The Department of Psychology at Coe College invites applications for several instructional positions beginning in Fall 2026. Positions are available for teaching courses including Introduction to Psychology, Biopsychology, and an upper-division Neuroscience course. Appointments may range from a single course to multi-course assignments, with compensation and benefits varying according to appointment level.

Responsibilities

  • Instructor of Introduction to Psychology: Teach one section of Introduction to Psychology in Fall 2026 (MWF 10:00-10:50 am) with the possibility of teaching an additional section in Spring 2027. Flexibility in scheduling is offered.
  • Instructor of Biopsychology: Teach one section of Biopsychology in Fall 2026 (MWF 9:00-9:50 am) with the possibility of teaching an additional section in Spring 2027. Flexibility in scheduling is offered.
  • Instructor of Upper-division Neuroscience course: Teach one section of an upper-division neuroscience course (MWF 12:00-12:50 pm). The course currently listed is Drugs and Behavior, but proposals for alternative courses are welcome. An additional section in Spring 2027 is also sought.

Qualifications

  • ABD or terminal degree in Psychology or a closely related field preferred.
  • Candidates with a completed master’s degree and relevant teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.
