Psychological Therapist / CAAP
About the role
The Psychological Therapist/CAAP position is available within the adult/older adult Mental Health Service in NHS Western Isles. This is a part-time, permanent position offering a salary range of £52,845 - £61,466 pro rata/per annum plus a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 pro rata/per annum. The post involves 22.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering psychological interventions in both community and inpatient settings
- Collaborating with a range of professionals to support the community
- Engaging in consultancy, training, and development of other professionals
- Working closely with Clinical Psychologists and Primary Care teams
Requirements
- Experience working in adult mental health or psychology services
- Skills in CBT, trauma-focused interventions, and another therapeutic approach
Qualifications
An experienced Psychological Therapist/CAAP qualification is essential.

- Ability to work in remote and rural areas
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to remote and hybrid working
